THE PROBLEM
We wanted a currency app we’d keep on our phones. Any base currency. Favourites where the thumb lands. A real keypad. And rates that still show in a basement car park.
It was also a chance to design with no client brand to follow.
WHAT WE BUILT
Every rate in your currency. Pick it once, then pin up to five favourites and see how each moved today.
Convert like a calculator. A full keypad and one tap to swap direction. Yesterday’s conversions stay in the history.
Offline, and honest about it. The last rates stay on the phone, marked with how old they are.
An app you want to tap. Bold outlines, flat colours and buttons that sink when pressed, like a toy.
THE RESULT
Matawang shipped to Google Play and the App Store in September 2026. Its site is matawang.cleancode.id.
It’s also the app we open when a client asks how our mobile apps feel.
