THE PROBLEM
Shops across Indonesia already own Bluetooth receipt printers. A web-based till can’t print to them. The workarounds were paid, watermarked or unreliable.
We kept running into this with our retail clients, so we built the missing piece.
WHAT WE BUILT
Pair once, print every time. Pair the printer in Android’s settings and open Cleanter. After that, your web app prints a receipt with one request.
Two ways to print. From your own app, or from Chrome’s print dialog when the page isn’t yours. Receipts come out on 80 or 58 mm paper.
Built for shop tablets. It starts when the tablet does, reconnects after a power cut and stores nothing: receipts go straight to the printer.
THE RESULT
Cleanter is free on Google Play, with no watermark. Docs and a live receipt playground are at cleanter.cleancode.id.
Our clients’ web-based tills print through it, and more than 2,000 people now use it. A client’s printer question has a five-minute answer.
